Shawna J.C. Tenney received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from Brigham Young University. Shawna has always had a love for art and drawing and attributes her love of children's books to her mother who read to her every night. More than anything, Shawna loves to use her imagination and uses it to create delightfully colorful and entertaining illustrations for both the young and young at heart. A member of the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Shawna's illustrations have appeared in children's magazines, educational and religious publications.

When Shawna is not painting, you will probably find her flying a kite, having a doll tea party or some other insanely fun things that Mommies love to do. She lives in the beautiful state of Utah with her husband, two daughters and Bongo the cat.
