Dorothy Stott creates art for children with lots of love. Her art career started when she was three years old with her first drawing of "Nippy" her beloved puppy. From here, she studied landscape and portrait painting with Foster Caddell and attended Paier College of Art, where she was trained as a classical painter.
However, her love of animals, children, and magical water colors has always kept her illustrations for the very young.
Dorothy is a proud member of the Society of Illustrators in New York City and her art fills many children's books in libraries, school systems, magazines and book stores. Dorothy lives in New Haven, Connecticut with Henry and Hannah from "The Potty Books" and all of her art supplies. |
